Karl's Weathers The storm

Whom does one call to help with a national disaster? In the aftermath of the hurricanes, Katrina and Rita, Karl's Event Rental received that call on August 27th. Karl's trucks were headed south to Louisiana and Mississippi within 24 hours. A total of 45 employees made the trip, hauling 65 semi-trailer loads of equipment in order to set up 14 sites, two of which were donated by Karl's. Over 400,000 square feet of air-conditioned and floored clearspan structures, was provided to house approximately 8,000 people.

This trip had many unusual challenges. At one location, incredibly wet weather conditions created knee-deep mud which forced our crews to work barefoot. Not only did our crews have to haul down their own diesel fuel, but also food, water, sleeping tents and battery-operated radios. Most employees worked over 20-hour shifts to coordinate this effort. After all was said and done, Karl's weathered the storm, doing whatever was necessary to complete the job.

Orlando Aviation Event

Whether you are displaying a small private aircraft or a multimillion dollar jet, Karl's can provide clearspan structures for your event. Recently in Orlando, Karl's installed glass and solid white hard wall on the clearspan structures, upgrading the sidewalls from ordinary fabric. Jolly Holly Folly 2005

In November, Karl's Event Rental is proud to be a participating vendor in the Jolly Holly Folly benefiting the Aids Resource Center of Wisconsin. This evening includes an evening of food tasting from local restaurants followed by a holiday theatrical performance. EVENT IDEAS – Martini with a twist PARTY

At a twist to your next party, by hosting a "Martini with a Twist Party". Begin by sending out invitations in a shape of a martini glass with the details of the party. Room decorations can include our new emerald/ pink dazzle linens for a cabaret-height cocktail tables accented with pink chair ties that are tied at the pedestal to create a martini glass shape. Use one of our over-sized martini glass with floating candles as a centerpiece. Incorporate soft pink light bulbs in the room to create ambiance. Since martinis are heavy on the alcohol, serve many different appetizers from a cheese and meat tray to freshly baked baguettes with different butters or cream chesses. Martini choices would be cosmopolitans and appletinis to coordinate with the linens. Karl's Event Rental has two different martini glasses for rent, the standard 6 oz. glass as well as a long-stemmed elegant 7.5 oz glass. Don't have a bar in your room? Rent the 6' bar from us creating a more formal look. What's the TWIST? Have your guests have a twist contest while Chubby Checker songs are playing in the background. All guest can be judges to determine who wins "The Best Twist" award. The prize for the winner ... a gift bag remembering the evening including a Chubby Checker CD, a martini glass, and a small bottle of vodka.

Did You Know WE HAVE?...

One of Karl's six china patterns is a square plate. Think out of the box using square plates for your next venue. They have a rim around the edges adding elegance to the china, These plates are available in 12" square, 10" square, 7" square, and 6" square. This white china adds a clean, crisp look to any smartly dressed table. Serving pieces are also available in this pattern.

A new and innovative table lamp has been added to our inventory for centerpieces. This silver tone table lamp is only 6" tall with a silver mesh lamp shade. This piece can use either fuel cells or small tea lights. Place three of these on a dining table for additional soft candlelight or just a single lamp on a cocktail table for simplicity.
