2004 is the 153rd year of the Wisconsin State Fair, 111 of those have been at Wisconsin State Fair Park. August 5th through the 15th you will be able to enjoy activities, entertainment, demonstrations including livestock, crafts, youth art and horticulture judging, music and food aplenty. Celebrate Midwest's finest dairy and beef cattle, horses, goats, sheep, swine, llamas, rabbits and poultry. Wisconsin is also proud of its delicacies like pies, cookies, and canned goods; and homemade items like needlepoint, quilts and floral arrangements. Be sure to visit the following features at the fair this year.
- Shopping galore at the Expo Center's Exhibitor Pavilion, Grandstand Mile Market and in the international village.
- Enjoy over 200 food concessions, homemade treats in the Wisconsin Product Pavilion, and many "items on a stick".
- A Ride-All-Day wristband allows you to enjoy the Midway at a minimal cost. Discounted prices are available on select days of the fair.
- 28 free entertainment stages featuring every kind of music from national, regional and local performing artists.
- New this year, performances by Circus Matrix™ - This world-class circus will be entertaining fairgoers six times a day at no additional charge.
- The GT Airshow Bicycle Stunt Show will thrill fairgoers as they perform wild back flips, aerial maneuvers and flatland tricks.
- Miller Lite Stage is hosting headliner talent nightly.
- "Must See" at the fair are the Saz's and Usinger Racing Pigs, daily parade at 5:30 p.m., street entertainments, Dream Home Giveaway, Budweiser Clydesdales and as always enjoy a cream puff.
- There are "Baker's Dozen" ways to save on admission to the fair.
Parking is $8 per vehicle including motorcycles and vans. Tickets purchased at the gates are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors $3 for children ages 7 to 11 and children under six are free. Visit www.wistatefair.com for daily schedules and more information on all avenues of the fair.

Saturday, August 7th Boerner Botanical Gardens is hosting the Festival of Roses presented by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Enjoy a full day of garden tours, gardening presentations, floral and landscape seminars, Stano Scooter Race, cooking demonstrations from Bartolotta Catering Company and Beetles in the Garden (Volkswagen Beetle display from Boucher Automotive Group). Free parking and free admission for anyone with the name "Rose", otherwise admission is $8 for adults, $6 seniors, children 6-17 years $4, under 5 FREE.
