Great Outdoor Games in Wisconsin

Madison, Wisconsin is proud to be hosting the ESPN Great Outdoor Games July 8-11. This will be the first time a Midwestern city has hosted the games which began in 2000. The ultimate championship of outdoor sports include 200 athletes from five countries competing in four categories: sporting dog, target, timber and fishing events. These games will be telecast on ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC highlighting the head-to-head competitions. Splish, Splash a 40th Bash!

Port Washington salutes its city's commercial fishing industry with a one-day festival on July 17th. The beautiful Upper Lake Park is hosting this year's festival including multiple activities throughout the day, beginning with an 8k walk/run and concluding with a breathtaking fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. A 200-unit parade, car and truck show, arts and crafts exhibits, carnival rides, food, beverage, music and entertainment on six different stages are sure to fill the entire day of fun and excitement. Admission to the festival is free however admission to the main stage is at a minimal cost. Woof & Hoof for Gilda's Club

Bring your dog and take a walk benefiting Gilda's Club Southeastern Wisconsin. Gilda's Club is a free cancer support community for men, women and children of any age, living with any type of cancer and their families and friends. The events on Saturday, August 7th begin with a "barkfest" (coffee and bakery for all registered participants), dog contests, dog training demonstrations and a 1 or a 2.5 mile walk at Atwater School in Shorewood.
