Kitty
Hawk Celebration Takes Flight
24,000
square feet of clearspan tenting is being transported by Karl’s
Event Rental to Lakeland, Florida for Sun ‘n Fun Fly In which is
the initial stop of the Kitty Hawk Touring Pavilion. On March 24th
our semi-trailer will head to Florida with clearspan tenting, flooring,
lighting, air conditioning, staging, tables and chairs as well as
EAA displays and simulators. Karl’s will have only six days to set
up the tenting and show exhibits which runs from April 2nd to the
8th. This is the national debut of EAA's "Countdown to Kitty
Hawk" display. This display exhibit chronicles the first flights
of the Wright brothers and the history of aviation since December
1903. The exhibit will tour five other national locations (Oshkosh,
WI; Dayton, OH; Seattle, WA; Dearborn, MI; and Kitty Hawk, NC).
Karl’s also has another semi-trailer leaving on March 22nd for CNN
in Atlanta, Georgia with additional exhibits for the Wright Flyer
display. CNN is covering the story of the Kittyhawk experience.

After
four weeks of being overseas in Kuwait, James Mills returned home
to the United States on Feb. 20th. James was in Kuwait since January
24th assisting the installation of clearspan tenting for the military.
Mike Rewolinski returned home on Feb. 8th after 10 days in Kuwait
also assisting with these tents. It is great to have both employees
back home during this potential international crisis

Scrapbook
Convention Returns To Town
Four Point Sheraton Conference Facility is again host to the 3rd
annual Midwest Scrapbook Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March
14th and 15th. Over 50 vendors will comprise 90 booths showcasing
their scrapbooking products and ideas. 160 workshops and two crop
parties will also take place during the weekend. Admission is $7
at the door, but discounted tickets can be obtained at your local
scrapbook store. 3,500 people are expected to attend the show. .

Good
Living … Good Life
Southridge Mall is the location for this year’s Good Living Expo
on March 22nd. Over 50 exhibitors will be showcasing health, wealth
and travel from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Take a break from shopping
and visit the different booths learning about how to “live a good
life”. There will also be performances on the main stage by Comedy
Sportz and a magic show as well. Karl’s provided boothing equipment,

Shows for the Price of One
"The Milwaukee Home & Garden Show At State Fair Park"
and its sister show "The Great Midwest Log Home & Timber
Frame Show" is at the new Wisconsin Exposition Center at
State Fair Park on March 27-30. Admission to each show is $10,
however if you choose to attend both shows, your total cost is
only $12. Your $5 parking fee will be rebated with the purchase
of show admission. Over 150 vendors will have exhibits for home
remodeling, building and gardening. The show will be giving away
a $100,000 cash spending spree to be used at vendors during the

Gras Continues
Mardi Gras celebrations continue through Fat Tuesday on March
4th. If you are planning your Mardi Gras party and need special

order. Karl’s has harlequin theme linen as well as purple, gold
and green lame’ chair ties that can be used as table accents.

Auction
Benefits Lutheran High School Association
Bring your appetite, money and “good-time” attitude to the Country
Inn Hotel in Pewaukee on Friday, March 21st for the 22nd Annual
Lutheran High School Association Dinner Auction. Proceeds from
this event are used to help reduce tuition for all students. Cost
of the dinner (including wine) is $65 per person of which $25
is tax deductible. The fund-raising auction will include grab
bags, an oral auction and a silent auction. Values of items in
the auction range from $25 to several thousands of dollars. Cocktails
are at 5 p.m. with dinner commencing at 6:30 p.m. The Board of
Directors of The Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee
are the sponsors of this annual event. For additional information

Kalahari
Resort Hosts Governor’s Conference
Wisconsin
tourism businesses will travel to the Wisconsin Dells to attend
the 2003 Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism from March
16th through the 18th. There will be three full days of forums,
roundtables, and receptions focusing on personal growth of staff
members and showcasing marketing essentials and consumer tourism
trends. Karl’s is providing an 800’ framed walkway which will
provide shelter walking between buildings for different events.
