ON THE ROAD AGAIN …
KARL’S MARCHES INTO KUWAIT

Karl's Event Rental has been asked to travel to Kuwait to install clearspan tents at a marine base. The German clearspan manufacturer, contracted by our U.S. Government, called upon Karl’s due to our expertise and experience with clearspan tent installations. James Mills who has over twenty years experience with tent installations will be in Kuwait for four weeks and Mike Rewolinski will be there for two weeks. This structure will provide comfortable space for the men and women overseas. We are honored and proud of our employees who are helping in this delicate geographical location.

KARL’S BITES INTO THE BIG APPLE
Our semi-trailer once again is loaded and headed to Brooklyn, New York to erect a 82’ x 132’ all-white clearspan tent. Karl’s Event Rental provided a lighted structure for the Satmar community on Saturday, January 25, 2003. With electric heat and metal halide lights, this tent will provide accommodations for 1,500 people to celebrate this occasion. Karl’s Event Rental fulfilled all civic requirements for this tent including all permits necessary to erect this tent. Since we were unable to stake into the ground at the park, it was necessary to weight the tent using concrete blocks each weighing 4,000#. Contact JC at 414/831-7043 to let Karl’s Event Rental accommodate your tenting needs.

ROLLING ALONG …
To continue our national rental sales program, Karl’s recently provided equipment for the Illinois Governor’s inaugural festivities. The inaugural schedule included three events that required additional rental equipment including an informal barbeque, Inaugural Balls and the Inauguration Ceremony. To make these events successful we provided tables, elegant Chiavari chairs, china, flatware, glassware and catering equipment. Governor Rod Blagojevich was sworn into office on January 13, 2003 as the 40th Governor of the State of Illinois. Karl’s partners with other rental companies to ensure that each event is a success. Contact Cindy Kaminski at 414-/831-7029 for help with your next event.

EVENT SHOWCASE
ANOTHER DOWNTOWN VENUE OPTION IN MILWAUKEE

The Milwaukee Athletic Club, established in 1882 is a great venue option for your event in downtown Milwaukee. Originally built and developed for the purpose of "developing of the bodily powers through gymnastic and other exercises" the Milwaukee Athletic Club has hosted numerous events and activities. Nine buildings housed the Club before it moved in 1917 to its present site on the corner of Broadway and Mason, occupying all 12 floors of the building. Within these walls is a formal dining room, sports bar and restaurant, game room, private meeting rooms, including the Grand Ballroom, guest rooms, cocktails lounges, library, barber shop, child care room, racquetball and squash courts, co-ed fitness studio and private men's and women's athletic facilities, each with its own lap pool.

The MAC is governed by a twelve-member Board of Directors that sets policies and directs the General Manager who oversees a staff of about 200 full and part-time employees. In keeping with the structure of a private club, membership in the MAC is by invitation from a current member, and the Board of Directors must approve all proposals for membership.

Although its focus has always been athletics, the Club now provides a broader range of services and opportunities for its membership. Today, the MAC meets the business, social and athletic needs of its members on a daily basis. In fact, it is the only private club in Milwaukee that offers dining, meeting rooms, guest rooms and full athletic facilities. Think “outside of the box” and consider the Milwaukee Athletic Club for your next business or social event. For additional information, visit www.macwi.org or call Marsha Kramsky at 414-273-5080.

MAGIC IN MILWAUKEE WITH MILLER BREWING COMPANY
IT’S MILLER TIME! Miller Brewing Company hosted a free, block party for the public on January 15, 2003 to unveil the new “look” of Miller Lite. Festivities of the evening included a performance by Criss Angel escaping from a straitjacket while hoisted upside down 100 feet above the Miller Brewing complex in Miller Valley on State Street in Milwaukee. Angel emulated Harry Houdini’s escape as part of the publicity to promote the new logo of Miller Lite. Music, food, and beverages were also enjoyed by the hundreds of patrons that braved the fierce cold weather to watch this death-defying feat. Karl’s Event Rental installed a 33’ x 66’ heated clearspan tent for the celebration along with fencing to help monitor crowd control. A party can be held anytime during the year in Wisconsin by using a heated clearspan tent for your accommodations. This tight super-structure eliminates weather conditions from your event planning. Contact Mark Lampe at 414/831-7024 for help planning your next event.

MIRACLE ON CANAL STREET
Potawatomi Bingo Casino and The Forest County Potawatomi Community are continuing to play an important role in improving the Menomonee Valley. They have recently developed a new street running from 16th Street along Pittsburgh Avenue to 20th Street which improves traffic flow in this area. This new street was officially dedicated and renamed in a special ceremony on January 17, 2003 to “Potawatomi Street”. They will submit a formal request to the City of Milwaukee to permanently rename this portion of the street. Karl’s Event Rental provided a heated 30’ x 40’ frame tent along with lighting, staging and white wooden chairs. The tent was completely enclosed using sidewalls and included astroturf covering the ground to create a more indoor atmosphere. Tents can be used year-round for any occasion … contact Mark Lampe at 414-831-7024 for a tent proposal for your next event.
