CREATING EXCEPTIONAL EVENTS
A great deal of hard work and creativity goes into planning a successful event, where attention to detail is a must. Sometimes it can become overwhelming for just one person to write and design the invitations, choose and install the decorations, meet with an mange the vendors, select the perfect menu, hire the entertainment, and coordinate the volunteers and transportation, all while adhering to a budget. No one knows this better than Arlene Remsik, owner and creative mastermind of Exceptional Events and partner in Simply Season, a seasonal decorating company. Arlene has been planning and executing "exceptional events" for over 20 years. She and her dedicated staff work hard to ensure the success of each and every event, no matter what the size.

The process begins by meeting with the client to fully understand all the objectives and to exchange ideas. Arlene then pulls from her vast pool of resources and negotiates with vendors, solicits and secures sponsorships, markets and publicizes the event, and works with event volunteers, giving attention to even the smallest details to ensure a memorable experience.

Around the Milwaukee area, Exceptional Events has created memorable events at the Signature Air Strip, Federal Courthouse, the Milwaukee Athletic Club, Villa Terrace, the First Financial Centre, and this year will be creating a night to remember on "Summerfest Island". Events range from business grand openings, black-tie fundraisers and corporate holiday decorating to family-oriented occasions including Bar Mitzvahs. Customers are referred to Exceptional Events through satisfied clientele and through the Greater Milwaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau. Exceptional Events has planned both the Milwaukee Symphony Ball and Ko-Thi Galas for the past three years, the Midwest CarMax Auto Super Stores for five years, as well as the Aurora Healthcare Grand Openings. Arlene was also co-chair and event planner for last year's Renaissance Garden Gala at the Villa Terrace and even worked with Karl’s Party Rental on this year’s Open House, a James Bond Experience.

Other clients include Allstate, Master Lock Company, North Shore Country Club, Fortis Health, University School of Milwaukee, Society of Plastic Engineers, Alpine Engineering, and the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership. WORLD OF WHEELS ROLLS INTO WISCONSIN
The 41st Annual Carquest World of Wheels rolls into Wisconsin on January 10th through the 12th. The Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park is the home to this exciting auto show. A few of the features includes exhibits from Street Rodder, Super Chevy and Import Tuner’s magazine, model car contests, collectibles as well as car displays. On Sunday, Vern Troyer, Austin Power’s Mini Me is making a guest appearance between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Admission to Carquest is $11, $4 for children 6 to 12 years old and children under 5 are free. CLEARSPANS IN DECEMBER
Recently, Aramark Food Service contracted Karl’s Party Rental to erect a 33’ x 50’ Clearspan tent in Germantown, Wisconsin. They needed a temporary structure to host their corporate luncheon. This tent included weather-resistant sidewalls, French double-doors and oak flooring creating an appealing atmosphere for their guests to enjoy. Even in December in Wisconsin, you can entertain comfortably outdoors utilizing this new state-of-the-art tenting system. METROPARENT CAMP & EDUCATION FAIR 2003
Brookfield Square Mall is the host to the Camp & Education Fair 2003 on Saturday, February 8th if you are looking for a unique summer camp or school for your children. Over 50 facilities will be at this fair promoting different camps such as sport, specialty, and Christian camps. These camps can range in length from one-day camps, or weekend events, or even a week-long summer camps. There will also be exhibitors promoting enrollment at their private schools. Karl's Party Rental is installing the exhibitor space, which is comprised of pipe and drape, signs, tables and chairs. With the help of our CAD computer program, we are able to lay out your event scaled to size, which helps you envision your event.
